Job Title: Accountant Location : US – Columbus
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
- Support the monthly Accounting close process
- Manage all aspects of the General Ledger (Sales, COGS, Expenses, AP/AR, bank statements) including journal entries, reconciliations and analysis
- Prepare & analyze monthly and annual financial statements and create monthly variance analysis to Budget and prior forecast
- Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets
- Identify, document, implement, and drive process improvements of accounting processes for increased efficiencies and controls
- Support annual audit including requests from external accounting firm
- Process accounts payable invoices in the Transportation Management System as needed
- Assist with preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and monthly enterprise consolidation and forecast (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash)
- Assist in the creation of monthly financial reporting packages for the executive team
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and other support of the CFO as requested
- Weekly reporting including but not limited to AR, AP and cash flow
- Qualifications

- Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus
- Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience including transactional and analysis responsibilities
- Public Accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP desirable
- Experience in a Retail, Logistics or Technology company is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel modeling and Accounting systems necessary
- Experience with foreign currency exchange accounting preferred
