Store Development
Abercrombie & Fitch opened two important new stores in the newest shopping center in Lyon, France, named ‘La Part-Dieu’. Caliber orchestrated all furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) supply for the completion of both ‘Abercrombie & Fitch’ and ‘Hollister’ branded stores, using our in-house logistics control tower.
Challenge
With the shopping center being under construction at the same time as these two stores, the logistics team of La Part-Dieu required an in-depth application process for delivery dates and times, to be submitted with at least 72 hours’ notice. Full compliance was required throughout the project.
Solutions
Using TRACT enabled our team to gain granular visibility and operation control over all incoming orders. This way, all delivery requirements for these two locations were captured against each project in our system. By leveraging key data in real-time we were able to collaboratively work with the PM, GCs, and our warehouse partners to use nearby located ‘pop-up’ distribution centers for crossing docking inbound shipments.
Results
All shipments were supplied on time, meeting all notice requirements, and with a single delivery due to sufficient notice on all inbound POs. This allowed the general contractor to stick to the planned project timeline, while keeping total transportation costs below budget. All parties involved were especially pleased with effective communications and teamwork, aided by the personal customer service offered by the Caliber.global team.
